Funerals and Memorials at Mortlake Parish
You can organise a funeral or memorial service at every one of the three churches in the Mortlake Parish. They all offer different capacities and options for receptions after the ceremony. You can see the full details of what each church offers below.

St Mary's, Mortlake
Capacity
The church can accommodate up to 300 seated
Reception space
The St Mary's Room seats 40 and the Wigan Room seats 50. There is also the possibility of hiring Mortlake Hall which is just around the corner from St Mary's.
Christ Church, East Sheen
Capacity
The church can accommodate up to 430 people seated.
Reception space
The beautiful architect-designed Church Hall can fit 100 people standing and 60 seated. It also offers kitchen facilities.
All Saints, East Sheen
Capacity
The church can accommodate up to 325 people seated.
Reception space
The Church Hall can accommodate up to 60 people seated, there are also kitchen facilities and you can hire an upright piano.

Costs
The Church of England sets universal fees for weddings, which include costs such as the marriage service, publication of banns, and banns certificates.
These fees cover administration, the clergyperson’s role, use of the church and lighting, and calling the banns. Extra optional costs (such as organists, flowers, bells, heating, verger services) are arranged and charged separately by individual churches.
We recommend discussing costs early with the vicar, and any charitable donations beyond the required fees are voluntary.
