Young People are active members of our churches.

Older children and teens are active in services as choir members (musical training is provided) as members of instrumental groups and as acolytes and sidespeople. For more information on opportunities to participate in music or as a member of an acolyte or sidesperson please contact the vicar. There are children’s activities during a portion of all large services and individual churches have services and feast days which are especially welcoming – and much anticipated by families – including  crib services at Christmas and pancakes for Lent!

For the very young,  each church has organised toddler groups for the children their parents and carers during term time. Information and contact  details are below.

Tiddlywinks

Tiddlywinks is a term-time playgroup for babies, preschool children and their carers (including Dads!) held in St Mary's from 9.30 to 11.30am on Mondays. The cost is £3 per child. During the session we provide healthy snacks for children, refreshments for everyone, along with a range of age-appropriate activities for the children and carers to engage in. We come together at the end to enjoy songs, storytelling and parachute fun!

Songs and Stories

Songs and Stories is a short service for pre-school children and their carers. The service includes songs, percussion instruments, a story and prayers. Songs and Stories takes place at both All Saints (Wednesdays) and Christ Church (Thursdays) at 10AM. There are also refreshments and free play. Contacts below for more information.
